Critical Thinking

To begin, I really enjoyed the effective communication module as Professor Brad was approachable when I had enquires about my work, and he always engaged the class throughout the two hours of the lesson. I set two goals for myself to achieve at the end of the module, the first of which was to become a  more confident speaker, and the second was to learn to write a proper academic paper.  Looking at how Professor Brad conducted the lessons, he made sure to call on us so that we were able to speak out during the lesson. As a result, Georgia State University researchers are working to improve drones to better combat wildfires. Patterson claims that their drone KHawk is designed to fly autonomously while transmitting weather data, including forecasts of where the flames will spread next.   Patterson also states, "The U.S. Department of Interior (DOI) started flying drone missions in 2010 with about 200 total flights." DOI plans to expand the drone fleeting mission and began the first use of Unmanned Arial System (UAS) for aerial ignition operations. The fundamental idea behind employing the “intentional ignition strategy” is to start a fire that burns back towards the main fire line, eventually starving the flames and putting them out by depriving the main fire line...
